Over 40 years ago, Mao Zedong, chairman of the Communist Party of
China, which was then still communist, in practice and not only in its
name, made the following assessment of the era to come, in a speech
in 1962:
”The next fifty or hundred years from now will be an
epic period of fundamental change in the social system of the world, an
earth-shaking period, with which no past era can be compared. Living in
such a period, we must be prepared to carry out great struggles,
differing in many respects from the forms of struggle of previous
periods".
Was this assessment correct? Does it tally, for instance, with
what is the situation here in Sweden and in the world as a whole at the
present time?
With this article we want to present some arguments for saying
that this assessment precisely was a correct one, that it tallies with
the situation today too, and that the reigning system in the world, of
capitalism and imperialism, is not at all so "solid" as perhaps it may
look on the surface and as seen from the horizon of here in Sweden, for
instance. On the contrary it's very brittle and is becoming more and
more so.
The vast majority of people will be able jointly to war this "order"
down, take over this planet themselves and prevent its later being
retaken by some new and false-labeled mafias too. More and more there
is a need for people who are willing to devote time and energy to
contributing towards this. Even some quite few can achieve rather much
in
this respect too, if they are tolerably well-informed on the matters.
Everybody is welcome to contact us for discussing this.
In Sweden "rather quiet". But jobs are scarce. And some
"strange" things are happening.
Here in Sweden, a rather small country as to population, "on the
outskirts of" the continent Europe, something experienced very palpably
by most people is:
There since long is large unemployment. There is no tendency for
it to decrease either, rather on the contrary. For young people in
particular and also for people born abroad, above all those with
origins outside of West Europe, it's very difficult to find a job at
all. A system with people's getting employed only for a few months' or
even a few weeks' time is becoming increasingly widespread too.
At the same time, those so-called ordinary people who do have
permanent jobs have to work more and more, on overtime for instance and
at a constantly increasing pace. When and where the next industry
shutdown will occur you don't know.
Why is it that the vital industries in such countries as Sweden
keep decreasing and getting shut down, so that many must work harder
and many others remain out of work completely, in practice are being
declared "unnecessary" by the ruling persons, and so that the
so-called welfare systems - a result of the struggle of the workers'
movement (NB, the actual one, not certain parties which have been
bought up or were false-labeled from the beginning on) in earlier
decades - are now being
cut down too?
Not only transfers to low-wage countries. The ruling persons
also directly and on purpose are destroying the industry here.
The most obvious example of this is that seemingly
"strange" event that they have shut off the excellently
well-functioning nuclear power plant at Barsebäck, which was
producing 6 per cent of all electricity in this country. Although they
know very well that nuclear power is also a particularly
environment-friendly technology and that always a large majority of all
people in Sweden have been for
it - all the anti-propaganda in the media since over 30 years back
notwithstanding - they shut off one of the two reactors of this power
plant in 1999 and the other on 31 May 2005. Since way back in 1980 they
have a law too banning the
construction of new nuclear power plants.
Therefore, the prices of electricity are now rising sharply.
This hits hard both the households and the industries, and thereby the
job opportunities too. The entire electricity provisioning even is in
danger. The campaign internationally against nuclear power is a part of
a "green" warfare against the
peoples in the world. It also is a sign of the reigning system's being
weak.

Why a "green" warfare by the ruling persons, against almost
everybody in the world?
This warfare consists of
a large number of campaigns all directed against technological and
industrial development, both in the "rich" countries and in the poorer,
oppressed countries, and is being pressed on above all by the ruling
persons in the USA. The capital owners, in particular their political
representatives, have come to fear that the industrial workers will get
to be "too many" and thus strong enough finally to kick them out as
those useless parasites which they are, and take over power in
society. They have come to fear that the oppressed countries will get
developed "too far" and thus no longer provide them with all that
extremely cheap labour power on which they are so dependent. Therefore
they today are going in for preventing and destroying modern technology
and industry, thereby are striking off a part of their own profit
possibilities and are engaging in this particular form of warfare
against almost everybody, in order to preserve their more and more
rotten system of exploitation in the world.
In this warfare is included a deceitful propaganda in all
the mass media, and in the school textbooks too, about purported
"threats to the environment". There are no actual big such in the
world. But the media are full of invented such, today not least a
so-called "dangerous extra greenhouse effect due to human activity",
this in order to get people to accept the ruling persons' extreme price
raises on oil and natural gas too.
30 years of weakening of the reigning system in the world,
which has also caused certain "strange" events precisely in Sweden and
in its surroundings
In the mass media you will find nothing or practically only lies
about those matters which we shall mention here and which show that
things are not or have not been quite as quiet in Sweden and its
neighbourhood as it may look on the surface.
In the 1970s, the system
of exploitation in the world was being upheld above all by two
superpowers, US imperialism and Soviet social-imperialism, which
however was getting into bigger and bigger difficulties. When that
reactionary group in China on which the revisionist "Russian bear" had
put it hopes after Mao Zedong's death (the "four-gang") instead was
arrested, it in its rage and desperation slammed its paw into the
ground here on the other side of the globe, by detonating an atom
bomb(!) in the Gulf of Finland on 25 October 1976, some 1000 m under
the ground on the island Osmussaar off the coast of Estonia, so that
tremors were felt in southern Finland. "I'm still a big and strong and
dangerous bear anyway", it wanted to say; "in particular you
politicians etc in Europe should not get uppity but should do as I'm
telling you to". That was what happened too, at that time.
In China, another reactionary
group, which was most of all pro-US, actually gained power, in 1976-78.
This was a big defeat for the peoples in the world but it also put the
Soviet revisionist leaders into even bigger difficulties. Their policy
of intimidation, with submarine intrusions against Sweden and other
countries for instance, became even more desperate. After the
(in)famous "U-137" in 1981 they in 1982 even sent 6 mini-submarines all
the way into the Swedish navy's harbour basin at Hårsfjärden
[close to Stockholm], got publicly
pointed to as
responsible for this by Palme's government (now not as "East-friendly"
as the one in 1976), but still continued such intrusions.
And when Gorbachov
became president in the Soviet Union in 1985 and wanted to pursue
another, though likewise extremely reactionary, policy, one of "green"
strangulation of industry together with the ruling persons in the USA,
the then still powerful military leaders in the Soviet Union tried to
force the Gorbachov group into accepting their own line of massive
threats and perhaps even aggression against West Europe, by having
their intelligence service the GRU assassinate Sweden's prime minister
Palme on 28 February 1986. A scapegoat first got convicted of that
murder but was later acquitted, after some people within the
establishment here on 24 August 1989 had reported publicly on a certain
result of a bugging of a GRU agent in February 1986.
It's likely, in our judgement, that the largescale sabotage later, on
26 April 1986, of a nuclear power reactor at Chernobyl which was part
of a certain military complex, among other things was intended as a
counterattack by the Gorbachov group and/or its US friends, against
those Soviet military who among other things had then recently
assassinated Palme. That it was a sabotage and not an "accident" that
killed 42 people then and caused large material damage is obvious. No
less than 6 different safety systems were shut off deliberately in that
reactor, where, incidentally, it was possible to cause an explosion
only because its moderator consisted of graphite, not of water as in
all nuclear power plants in for instance Sweden. The largest damage in
this connection has been caused by a massive lie propaganda, which has
maintained that those very small extra amounts of radiation which arose
in other countries because of the Chernobyl sabotage were "harmful",
and not, as are such small amounts, actually good for people's health.
The social-imperialist Soviet Union and its empire, which had
earlier seemed to be so enormously strong, as everybody knows
eventually went under, in a big landslide in 1989-91. Some people have
maintained that this "strengthened" the imperialist system in the
world. On the whole, that system on the contrary got weakened by it. An
important "political reserve" for the bourgeoisie in the world
disappeared. Seemingly, there then arose an "invincible"
"traditionally"-bourgeois system with US imperialism as lone "overlord".
But the fact that the entire capitalism had continued to become
more and more brittle anyway showed up even earlier, in that mad
anti-nuclear-power and anti-growth campaign which its political leaders
had started in the early 1970s and whose (almost) maddest expression
came already in the year 1980 here in Sweden, with the so-called
"referendum on nuclear power" then: You were only allowed to vote "no", "no" or
"no" or else abstain.
In 1990, (a little) oil was found deep down in the granite in
[the Swedish province of] Dalarna. It thereby was demonstrated also "in
the West" that oil does not have "biological" origins but comes from
giant amounts which exist in the earth's mantle and are continually
seeping upwards. But the project to extract oil from that probably very
large deposit which exists there was suddenly stopped. World capitalism
doesn't want to extract
oil in such a country as Sweden!
The infamous terror attacks in the USA on 11 September 2001,
organized (as many already know) by the government in that country out
of fear of "its own" people, above all, and the aggressions following
on these, first against Afghanistan and later against Iraq (in 2003),
and further vile deeds of terror, the most recent one in Dahab, Egypt,
on 24 April, organized by the same imperialists and their closest
henchmen while at the same time they are trying to blame them on
"opponents" of theirs, are marks of another step in the world system's
having become weaker and weaker, and its ruling persons more and more
desperate.
Such terror attacks already have been perpetrated in Sweden
respectively in its surroundings too, with the sinking of the ship
Estonia in 1994 and the assassination of foreign minister Anna Lindh in
2003. The motives behind these crimes are a particular chapter by
itself. The imperialists' latest terror ingenuity of course has been
extended to this country too: That of a purported "contagious bird
flu", in order to get people to accept mass vaccinations, something
which would actually harm and even kill people. But all their
ingenuities will not help them in the long run anyway.
